Hello there i have a Fiorino 2010 model with comfortmatic gearbox.
The car has about 100k km and its on perfect condition but lately it started to make some hiccups randomly.
First while driving it goes by its own on neutral .I just shift gear and its all ok and i keeps driving .
On a rare occurrence when it was raining i had the lights,heating,wipers on and this error occurred "Check gear box" .I just shifted again gear and all was ok .
Now the only thing that come in my mind that would be the problem its the batterie but i am not sure any ideas guys ?
The first problem it dosent happen every day some times a month or so will pass and do it just once .
Any help would appreciated thanx .

An update in 3 months period the problem was in and out now .I got a read from a computer and it came wiht this error .
Gearbox Marelli Selespeed At
P1741 - Engagement Sensor
- Intermittent

Any ideas and where is this sensor ?

Hi Rombust,

Although I can't help with the location of the sensors, this thread has a shed load of info on various fixes, troubleshoots and solutions including (it looks from a quick read) the right ones..

Hello Red Man Van,

Actually I ended up here when searching for Comfort Matic gear box. I never heard of it before?
Sorry if I am high jacking the threat, but I am curious what makes it different from any other gearbox?

Hi,
I'd not heard of it till recently,
AFAIK it's the "commercial" vehicle name for selespeed / duologic

FIAT / ALFA groups semi-auto gearboxes..
Like tiptronic

it uses ECU and hydraulic actuators to work the gears AND clutch of a conventional 5 or 6 speed manual gearbox

I have exactly the same symptoms and intermittent P1741 fault. I’d like to hear what you did next?
