Hi all
Where are our pollen filters located, and how do we replace them.
I ask this question as i have just changed the pollen filter on the wifes corsa c, and i don't think it has ever been changed since the car rolled of the production line on 2005.
The car was condensating up really badly due to lack of air circulation.

I was going to suggest, that like on my RAV4 the pollen filter is behind the glovebox and it's the same in the Fiorino. You might not need to drop the door off but it's only 3 or 4 bolts to do so and then pop off the cover and remove the old, slide in the new unit and breath nice clean air again.

I wouldn't think the car steams up due to an old filter though, more likely the re-circ switch was set to recirculating stale (damp) air rather than pulling in fresh from outside. You see this on wet cold mornings when people are driving kids to school and they haven't a clue about the re-circ switch/button setting and the inside just gets more like a Turkish Bath as they drive on.
Similar to following someone on a dry sunny day when they have the rear wiper on all the time - they haven't even noticed and take no notice of what they actually drive. Cuh.

The wife knows about the re-circ switch, and it's not that, i checked for water leaks........but no!
The car is as damp as hell, the next step is the portable dehumidifier we.ve got and but that in it over the weekend.
Thanks for the pollen filter link

Hi , check the scuttle drain tubes located at the bottom of the scuttle . These block up with leaves and twigs etc and stop the water from draining out from the scuttle . Worth checking this first !

Problem is all the instructions on the interweb are for left hand drive versions which are totally different to ours.

I've just manage to change my pollen filter and I removed the glovebox (although technically not necessary if you are a contortionist :D).

Working in the pax footwell, first pull out the two white plastic scrivets and remove the cover, along with the pull-off panel - lower right of footwell. The filter is mounted vertically in the corner behind the black cover shown, which is at 45deg. (camera is on the floor pointing up).

To remove the glovebox - undo 3 torx screws on the top, 4 on the bottom (the left one has no father!) and a larger one inside the rear of the box, which will then drop down so you can see the whole filter cover.
Pull the cover off from the bottom and it unhooks at the top. You can then pull out the old filter.

There's not much space but with gentle bending it comes out and down into the footwell.
Before you start feeding the new one in, make sure the air-flow arrow is pointing INWARDS ;). It's a fiddle but gently pushing top then bottom does the trick. Hook the cover back on the top and push the bottom home. Job done, well after you've put everything back together (y)

Well done Quboffin, thanks for that looks simple enough, i have had the glovebox out when i did my cd changer emulator, but i did'nt realise the pollen cover was there.
Plan to do mine over the weekend

Thanks Quboffin for your detailed article on how to change the pollen filter - really appreciated. Just did mine and would not have even found it without this thread. We want more of this - brilliant! By the way I used a flexi screwdriver (bit holder type) on the awkward screw bottom left (the one with no Father), which did the trick.

Hi, Just replaced mine without opening the glove box. The panel under the glove box is held by the scrivets prev mentioned. The curve of the side panel pulls out then slide it towards the seat to get it out. It needs a bit of flexing. Then the black cover for the filter sits vertically in the corner. Have taken more pics zoomed out so Quboffin's pics can be orientated with the wider view.
The bottom pic is a bit white out but the new filter is poking out. An un opened cover would be obvious and black in that area disappearing up behind the glove box. You can get a hand all the way up there if nimble.
Thanks again to Quboffin would not have found it otherwise :)
