General 6 speed fiorino info

Ive seen a 2010 Fiat Fiorino with a 6 speed box and it's like an automatic, just curious, how good are these and are there any issues with them and how are they on diesel?

If you take a few minutes to do some searching there is a lot of info answering your questions, reviews, tech specs etc. Comfortmatic is only available with the 75 HP engine.

Consumption

The Fiorino offers incredible low fuel consumptions throughout the range.
62.8 MPG (4.5 l / 100 km) in the combined cycle with the 1.3 MultiJet 75 HP
65.7 MPG (4.3 l / 100 km) in the combined cycle with the 1.3 MultiJet 75 and 95 HP diesel options, fitted with Start&Stop:

  • the system which cuts out the engine even if you stop for a short time, at a traffic light for example, and restarts it automatically when you press the clutch pedal
  • Start&Stop is optional on 1.3 MultiJet 75 HP engine and standard on 1.3 MultiJet 95 HP engine
68.9 MPG (4.1 l / 100 km) in the combined cycle with the 1.3 MultiJet 75 diesel, fitted with Start&Stop and Comfort-Matic robotized gearbox

You can also have the van with a Petrol/Methane fuel system called the 'Natural Power' which uses the petrol engine (to start up) then transfers to running on methane..

1.4 Natural Power
Cylinder capacity 1368 cm
Emissions level: Euro 5
Max power EC:51 kW (70 HP) at 6000 rpm(methane)
57 kW (77 HP) at 6000 rpm(petrol)
Max torque EC:104 Nm at 3000 rpm(methane)
115 Nm at 3000 rpm (petrol)
petrol/methane fuel system

Look here - new brochure.

I've also read of an electric version but so far I think it's only a test bed and not (yet) in production. It would seem a good idea since it's a small van and good in towns for access/manoeuvrability..

Hi Anto78,
Plenty of info on here about the 1.3 diesel 75HP with the 6 speed Duralogic Gearbox. As a general rule folks like them, I love mine. MPG wise, always difficult to answer, depends on how different people drive, car set up, type of driving e.t.c, but mine never drops below 50, and is even better on a run.

Gearboxes are good with no serious recurring faults, though the odd fault can happen. Same as in a manual box, which is what it is anyway, all that makes it auto is the computer operates the clutch, yes it has a normal clutch.

Hope that helps. Cheers Qube O.

Must be some reason why but I don't know what - the MJ 75 with Comfortmatic (Dualogic with a different name?) is only 5 speed - that's the Fiorino. Perhaps Fiat consider as it's a van you would load up with 750kg and drive slowly so a 6th gear would be too high a ratio and cause trouble..so what if you had a full load of luggage and 'big' people in a Qubo then. Same difference.
