Wow, lovely workshop space they've got. The Abarth 500 looks mint, so does the Punto. Have they or will they do a Bravo too?

Word on the Alfa forum is that it looks a lot better in the flesh. I've not seen one in the flesh yet, but I'm not keen on the pics I've seen (although I did like the photoshops just prior to launch).

149 coming 2010 or 2011 will be much better looking I reckon

I rather like the 149...

mostly because it seems to be a re-badged Bravo?

Nope, they arent doing every Fiat model in Abarth guise just selected ones and they also plan to make there own cars that dont feature in the Fiat range.

That is just a mock-up of the 159 with an 8C/Mito front end. The only thing to be released so far is sketches. The 149 was due to come out at the back end of 2009 but it has been delayed because the new CEO didn't like it..

It will be based on a modified Bravo platform, so will the 159 replacement. This is good news because the Bravo platform is a good one, and not massively heavy either. I think the suspension will be totally different though.

Shame, I'd love an Abarth Bravo. As much as I enjoy ragging little cars around, I'm a big car fan at heart.

Me and the wife are going to Italy for a coupe of weeks in August. Will have to try and convince the missus to go for a quick look see.
