Hey chaps,

My rear wiper packed up and thought I would look at fuse's (actually motor sezied) but when I was looking I found this box with two wires split, one onto bodywork (earthed) and the other going in towards the centre console.

there are 4 switches on the box.
number 2 is 'on' and the rest are 'off'

the box says "Davis instruments, Driveright"

I thought I would be 'me' and flip a few of them... nothing happens, car starts fine...

its a 2.4jtd marea weekend on a w plate.

any ideas?

p.s. to resize photos before putting on here I found a website http://www.resizemypicture.com which does it online free of charge :)

anyone know why im now using photobucket, in a weird way and all my piccys are soo small?

when you upload photos onto photobucket there is an option to reduce the dimensions. perhaps you moved it by accident

it might help if you could write out exactly what it says on the box word for word could then compare it to the models listed on their site

Thanks Tim!

At least I know thats its nothing thats going to screw up the car.

I guess thats why there is a small hole in my steering column.....

Why would you install that on a 2.4jtd car tho?

Perhaps it was a company car at some stage.
It was ment to come with a fsh but the guy was going to post it and it never came.

It's now done 141k miles and still runs beautifully, would explain if it was ex-company car.

thanks again Tim

no worries all I did was drop that name you used in the first post into google

looks like an ok mod for a company, but not your average joe, the only thing i can see me ever using it for would be the GPS tracker could probably lower my insurance if i stated its got one in.
