As title really, i have to find a new engine for my 2001 JTD 100 and have been offered this.

What will fit in you guys? i want to stick with diesel and do a stright swap. No messing!

Thanks

Stu

As simple as that, NO. Its not the same engine. For starters a 2001 Bravo is usually the 100BHP CF3 variant and the Doblo is 105BHP CF3 variant. Not to mention the gearing will be different on a Doblo.

Fit a 2001 JTD Bravo/a engine the same as you've got. Stop looking at other vehicles.

The Bravo Stays!!!

ok cool thanks Joske, just asking, no harm in that.

Does anyone know of some cheap respectable engine outlets? Is there anything i should be weary of and warm the mechanic about?

Thanks again

its buggered, the camshaft pulley broke off taking the cambelt with it. The belt slipped causing numerous valves to bend and there appears to be a problem with some of the pistons and piston rings. I think the engine has a persistent niggle as 2 of the valves have seized prior to this mishap

If both vehicles use the CF3 engine why will it not fit? The first Bravo jtd's were rated as 105 bhp and the later ones 100 bhp but I am pretty sure it was just the mapping that was different.

The gearing doesn't come into it unless you are planning to keep the Doblo gearbox.

You could always steal the engine from an Astra!

It's not just a remap. If you ear both engines the sound is not the same :)
The JTD100 has electronic control over the wastegate. JTD105 is mechanical only. This means a remap can be done on the jtd passing 127hp (+-), on the jtd105 you need to adjust the wastegate to obtain this values.

go to the place with the engine look at it and see if it is the same as yours problem solved by using your eyes :)
