Well my new phone has turned up and after just 6hrs I've managed to find a software fault with my handset.

The phone is amazing tho.. the most stylish phone I've ever owned.

Nokia 6233 has a lovely black face surrounded by stainless steel with a black rubber back.... feels ruged yet eligent.


anyways.. i've bust it.. it makes a horrible hissing noise so it's off back 2morrow for a new one.

i Just got myself a K800i with 650 mins a month, 1100 texts and unlimited downloads on Orange(wanadoo) broadband and 2.5Meg for £40
quite pleased with that

dont liek the phone looks very basic

What network and tariff is that? Does it include insurance? Do you have a URL link?

just got an upgrade yesterday O2 XDA Mini S PDA phone, looks good an should be here 2moro

i called up to upgrade and they said they wanted £80 for it, so said no. Called back 15min later an got a diff person and they said i can upgrade it for free whats that about?? lol

I'm actually paying £40 cos im keeping my insurance.

Basic phone.. the Nokia 6233 isn't basic!!

It's as easy to use as the 3310's but has so many little features that enable the phone to behave just how you want!

Just set mine to auto lock after 20secs.. screen dim after 5 secs... ok all very simple stuff... but the N70/N80/N73 etc... don't have that feature!!

Plus the phone is right sexy!!


I'm am starting to re-think my contract tho... wot am i gonna do with unlimited calls during off peak and 106mins avg. per day free peak calls... plus unlimited txts!!!

All I really need is 500mins and 500 txts!

@ chris, ive had that phone for a few months now, but the t-mobile vario incarnation.

they wanted £220 for the upgrade when i first rang them up but eventually got it for a tenner plus a PAYG sim card.

i would suggest you get yourself down to http://forum.xda-developers.com/index.php and go into the wizard areas.

first thing to do when you get it is to hard reset and get rid of all the operator ****e other wise it will feel as slow as hell and you will hate it!
i would suggest flashing the firmware but do that at your own risk, im running this http://forum.xda-developers.com/viewtopic.php?t=52775 which is an absolute barebones install, runs smooth as.

Its £40 a month including insurance, and its a Tommy K special only on contract on orange.

If you're on orange speak to retentions and see what they can do for you

Out of interest though, Vodaphone are doing 1000 mins, 1000 texts + new phone for £25 a month. That's better than o2 with 750 mins, 750 texts for £35, but checj out carphone warehouse orange contracts or the orange website cos they now do unlimited on certain deals/contracts

Well that equivelent to over 13month 1/2 price line rental or over 6month free line rental.


The way they work it apparently... is on a points system.. depending how much ur bills are you earn points.

Well as im upgrading after only 8 months, I've only earnt 230 points... but to gain 20 more points i'd have to pay £20 more line rental for 1 month and keep my old phone and plan.... and wait another month to get free Broad Band...



Anyways... Voda still has the best deal I think... but they don't give free B&B


Gonna have to wait untill monday now to get a call back from retentions to find out just what is the best deal they can offer!!


No wonder people love PAYG.... saves all this hassle!!!!

it supposed to be £30 i pay, but i wasn't happy with a 2Gb cap on downloads. so for an extra tenner am getting unlimited now

Tommy, i'm currently on O2 Contract, i pay £20 a month (£24.99 with gold insurance) and i get 50mins offpeak a day, unlimited free texts and wap. Yes its the mega old Genie Tariff.

What i would like is something similar, maybe more offpeak mins or added xnet mins anytime or something. The bad thing with orange is they Brand all there phones and lock them making the value of the phone drop, hence why they can offer some phones that O2 charge £50 for and Orange Free. Also i go abroad alot and i need the phone to be unlocked.

What deals can you do?
