The car is definitely an Alfa 156 and I agree that the house looks typically British.

Why do assume the seller used a genuine picture of his house. If it was me i'd get a picture off the internet of a house with a garage and stick several question marks over the garage door. Simple.

Also they say its from Asia and its got 4 wheels. Lots of toys are made in Asia, especially with 4 wheels.

He may of lost his license but for punishment they maybe selling his favourite model car or something.

I know Japan is in Asia, BUT so are lots of smaller countires like Malaysia, china ect, so you could end up with a real cheap banger like the proton or the perodua, dont forget, what an American calls a sports car may not be the same as your point of view

Ok, Im sorry for speculating - some people don't have a clue when it comes to geography.

Im guessing-
The boys parents split up because the dad is quite rich and has found him self a younger female (attracted by his money).
The dad decides to buy his son an expensive present, something he has always wanted - ultimately to annoy his ex-wife because her present in comparison is probably no way as expensive or desired by the son.

Therefore car is likely to be worth $30000+.
Some women (and men) have absolutley no concept on what a sports car is so as you said it could be anything in that sense but I still think its going to be Subaru, Evo, Hyundai Tiburon (Coupe in UK - made in Korea), Eclipse, 350Z, Civic as someone mentioned earlier. Americans like their trucks (F150s and such) so im adding Mitsubishi Animal Truck (whatever its name is) to my list of guesses.

If I list everything im sure to guess correctly
