Car is currently being serviced (major). Dread to think what will be found :) 11,000 miles since last service.

If it does well I have a little treat lined up for it. Mind you that said, I have a treat lined up anyway lol.

Oh well, time will tell. Will get the car later on today.

Jesus. £183.09!

Can't wait to see the itemised bill :/

Apparently the brake master cylinder might be on way out as brake pedal goes down under load. That sound about right?

Mechanic said that it is a nasty job to get to it and cost will be a lot.

Anyone have any idea what it might cost or what it involves? (just wondering if I do it myself I might get costs down).

If its anything like the clutch slave cylinder then its a piece of cake to do. What exactly is the breakdown of the costs. Obviously trhe service, but how much are the parts and labour for doing the clutch master cylinder?

The brake master cyl is down the back of the engine bay and has lots of rigid pipes coming out of it, its a mare on almost any car.

Been driving the car around today. Dunno what mechanic is on about. Can't notice any movement in pedal. Hmmm.

Oh well.

Here's a breakdown of bill for those interested:

Labour
> Full Service
> Checked all ABS Sensor multiplugs, removed nsr hub and cleaned sensor ring
> Fitted new nsr brake cylinder

£96.00

Parts
> Engine Oil 17.10
> Oil Filter 8.87
> Fuel Filter 12.92
> Brake Cylinder 22.23
> Fluid 1.20
> 4x Sparks 19.80
> Brake Cleaner 3.50
> Screen Wash Add 1.40

£87.02

Annoyed about screen wash. He knows I can do that! Apart from that, it looks reasonable to me. Or have I been ripped off? :)
