and if you do, then is there a point in goign the with cover?

Im with admiral and I chose breakdown cover last year. Suffice to say after the service I've recieved this year from it I have cancelled it for the coming year.

The 1 time my car wouldnt start they came out, looked at the engine for 2 minutes and said they couldnt do anything. They then offered to tow it to a garage.

With admiral you have to pay for the parts used but not the labour.

i got membership to green flag when i had my astra as i never trusted it.

they were really good called them out 4 times. only paid for parts which was a snapped alternator belt. the other three time locked my keys in the car lol. they just came did thier job and went. they were quick to get there too.

AA

I have been with the AA for 3 years now, worth every penny driving a FIAT! Lots of helpful 'Tonys' around.

You pay your premium, and then when your car breaks they come out and mend it. If they cant mend it, they tow you to your destination, home or to a garage depending on where you specify.

They do not charge per call out, and usually have a limit or 6 call outs, maybe more.

If you join the AA or RAC the cover is for you, not your car. So if you are out with a friend and break down, you can call them and they'll rescue you and the car. If you lend you car to somebody however and it breaks, they wont be able to go and get them.

I have called the AA out to help me with a flipped up bonnet, flat battery, starting problems, and various other bits and bobs. They have always promptly arrived and sorted me out! I can highly recommend them.

If you really dont want to fork out, go buy a Japanese car so you wont break down ;)

LOL TRUE

thansk for the repleis

o aa work the same way then as others

you pay for the labour and not the parts required/?

@ben

are yu with the ome cover or the other one

im sure there is 2

one if you are roadside

ro the other is home

or something like that ;..

go AA and if your car is under 10yrs old and less than 100,000 miles. get their parts and labour cover. cost me bout £70 for a yr and they pay upto £500 for parts and labour. i have used the cover twice this year. once for slave cylinder and the other was my heater matrix. saved me £600 so far, so def worth the money in my opinion.

you can use the parts cover 3 times in a year, but the breakdown 6 times :)

I'm with the AA and have the parts and labour cover as above also, but yet to use it.

Been with the AA for about five years now and used them loads of times, always found them to be very polite and helpfull. They always do their very best to do a roadside repair. Cant recommend them enough.

HOW MUCH ARE YOUSE PAYGN A MONTH

sorry for the numerosu questiosn want to get the best servce i can...

Home start, cant remember how much extra it is, when i used to travel out of glasgow to work i had relay service as well so i could get taken to a garage in glasgow if i choose and not the nearest one available. When i used to go down south a lot i had relay plus as well so had the choice of being towed onwards or all the way back to where i came from as well. If you check the website you'll see all the service plans they offer and prices.

For those that have a Tesco Clubcard: -

I save my Clubcard vouchers up and go with the RAC. I get the top level cover (usually around the £100 mark) for £25 per year in Clubcard vouchers. Cheapest way to get the top cover which includes Roadside, recovery, homestart, onward travel etc.....

Only had to call them out once but they were fine.
