Great site!

Problem with my car. It's a Bravo SX "R" Reg.

When I switch the ignition off it literally goes dead; the headlights go off, the cigarette lighter doesn't work etc.. mainly, the stereo resets itself which is a pain as it's an mp3 player and has to load up every time. Although I have noticed that the interior lights work!?

Someone help!!??

Thanks
Chris

You need to swap the perm and ignition live wires on the HU over.

I'm dull when it comes to stuff like this but i'll have a look

Everything does switch off with the ignition except horn and interior lights! Just do the stereo, like Tom says.

Yeah, fiats are different to most cars in that the sidelights don't stay on when the ignition is off. You have to turn the key to a different position (see the little button next to the ignition lock) if you deliberately want to leave parking lights on.

Perm Live!

Thanks for this just sorted it and works fine :)

My set up is similar but HU remembers settings.

But when ignition is off the HU is dead, to listen to the radio is it necessary to switch the ignition down (to that override setting? - for sidelights)

Prolly dumb question, but the only way I've been able to listen to radio when car is off is to have the ignition turned to the first setting (up) which in the past drained the battery in no time at all!

Flip key down then to avoid draining batt fast?

I've got nothing special in the way of ICE - just 2 weak ass Sony amps with 2 sony subs. So reckon it should last say at least half hour?
