hi, please help, went to use my key fob this morning and noticed the red light had stopped flashing. Right then i thought replace batteries which i did, still to no avail. So i took it apart and found the small push button microswitch had stopped switching. Does anyone know where i could get a replacement microswitch from? they are absoulty tiny. looked on the web they in RS and the like they all seem to big??

any ideas?

You could buy a budget universal alarm fob from maplins and remove the switch from that one as its more than likely to be similar or useable size.

Had the same problem myself, just resoldered the connections on the switch and it works like a charm now :)

Hellraiser, When your switch stopped working were the lights still coming on the key? When I press the button on my key fob, the light comes on but nothing happens. I tried new batteries but to no avail. When you soldered your switch were the connections obviously broken? I had a look at mine but they seemed fine, but they are very fine.

Thanks

cheers, went to my local srappys today, and they let me have a load of old alarm fobs for free! took them apart and what did i find only a couple of switches exactly the same! thank you scrap lord!
