Paint match

Hi all.
My 4 year old Brava was pranged the other week & I've since had it repaired at a body shop which the insurance company told me to use.
The front bumber, wing & headlight were replaced & the paint finish is excellent.
Only problem is the top of the wing is a darker shade (metallic green verdi) then the bonnet.
Obviously the bonnet has faded over time & I suppose if the sprayer had matched the paint to the bonnet then the wing would be lighter then the door & been a mismatch there.
Is it unreasonable to expect the sprayer to have got a good match on all parts. Perhaps by using a lighter shade towards the top of the car to better match the faded bonnet, or am I expecting to much.
Thanks Dave G.

tell the insurance co that your not happy with the finnish & you want it matching the rest of the car, or a full respray(if not your fault)

The accident wasn't my fault I'm claiming off the other drivers insurance.
I don't particularly want a full respray I was wondering if it's possible to spray a wing of a car & match it with the bonnet & doors which might be slightly different shades.
I'm going to take the car back to the spray shop but they will likely just point out that the bonnet has faded with the sun.
If I know it's possible to blend paint in then I'll be able to dispute any excuse they have.

Is there a difference in colour between the wing and the door?

The wing & door are a perfect match.
It's the top of the wing & the bonnet that don't match, the rest is fine.

if there is a difference between the wing & bonnet then there is going to be a difference between the door as well, seeing as it's not coming of your insurance id go for a full respray.

Thanks for your help Mathew.
I've had a dig around the internet & found that I'm entitled to having the car as good as it was before the accident, not devalued by an obvious stripe like mismatch between wing top & bonnet.
I also found that there are ways of fading out paint towards panel edges so they match sun faded panels adjacent to them.
The car is going back tommorrow.

I took the car back & I need not have worried cos they didn't even argue.
They just appologised & booked it in to be fixed, they're nice people at the Mill car clinic.
