An Open Invitation

Hi,

It seems that, as ever, people think we're a bit in the dark ages here in Norfolk, so I'd like 2 extend the invitation 2 any of u guys on here 2 come down/up 2 Norwich and meet up with us and I'm sure we can convince u that we ain't all farmer boys and yokels ! ;)

I expect the obvious quip from master Nige (I'd b disappointed if he didn't ;) ) and as 4 wiz@ss, do u need reminding that the home of British Motorsport is East Anglia (Lotus, Lola, Pacific, Jordan etc...) and Snetterton (20 miles from Norwich) hosts rounds of the BTCC (the night races r awesome) as well as many club & class competitions. With major new road access being built as we speak, it's fast becoming a major race site.

I invite all of u down 4 some fun and fine beer and 2 hopefully convert u in2 believers that East Anglia isn't some crummby back water or the arse end of Britain (Altho' it does look like it if u look at a map of the UK !! LOL)

4 those "youngsters" amongst us, there r plenty of McDonalds with big car parks next 2 them and there's a regular cruizin' scene in Norwich & Gt Yarmouth. Check out www.norwichmodified.co.uk 4 more details.

I'll b speaking 2 my local FIAT dealer 2 c if they can do something 4 us, and hopefully we can make this a great event.

Dates and details will follow as soon as I have enough responses 2 warrant the organisation.

Hope 2 c u all soon,

Rob.

East Anglia

Rob,

Would love to visit East Anglia - need to pick up a couple of things from Desira at Diss.

Fiona and I could make any day apart from a Sunday. We havent met as we couldn't make the Christmas meet but did go to Donnington last August when you couldn't make it - see Silver HGT in pics.

East Anglian Meet

Thanx 2 John, Penfold, Dillinger & Jeff 4 ur replies.

As yet, I haven't finalised a location or date & time, simply because I wanted 2 know how many intended on coming and if any1 was interested. It looks like it could b a popular thing so I'll get 2 work organising something. Once I have some ideas, I'll post them 4 your deliberation and suggestions so we can all agree a mutually convenient event.

If u have any suggestions now, do let me know ;)

Watch this space ;)

Rob.

P.S. as mentioned earlier, the invite is open 2 all of the forum members, wherever u may b, the more the merrier ;)

I live in Norwich so I'll hopefully make it.

bloody miles away

Are there any Bravo owners in the South West area? I live in Bristol and would love to go to a meet that didn't invlove travelling over 200 miles one way!

Update

Hi Guys,

Just 2 let u know that the meet will take place sometime between 1st Feb and 31st March, I'm on holiday the 1st week in Feb and as soon as I come back from Amsterdam, I'll spend some time looking 4 suitable venues.

If any1 has any local knowledge and knows of anywhere that is conveniently located 4 those who r unfamiliar with the area, feel free 2 drop me a line with any suggestions.
At the moment I've got The Marsh Harrier (A11) and The Ram (A140 @ Tivetshall) in mind.

Keep the posts coming, and let me know if ur interested in coming down so I have some idea of numbers. I'm also still looking 2 get the local dealer involved somehow.

Cheers,

Rob.
