Re-map of ECU with Different Fuels

Has anyone had a remap or replacement ECU done whilst having anything other than normal unleaded in the tank? I had my ECU replaced and a new throttle body on my HGT 155 and whne I had it done I had a tank full of Super Unleaded in.

My question sort of relates to whther they would set the car up dynamically (i.e. to the car as it is at the time) or by the book.

The reason for asking is that although the car is quiter and most definently more reliable since the work, it has lost a considerable edge to its already dull performance.

I am thinking that the car was set up dynamically and therefore the tuning was set to the type of fuel withour knowing it was super, so I now get the same performance using the super as I used to get out of normal.

I hope I explained that clearly enough! Has anyone had any similar experience or has anyone had a remap and lost performance?

Cheers

Have you tried to disconnect the battery for longer than 15 mins. Apparently that resets ECU to default settings where it then retries combinations from scratch until it finds the best fuel / air combinations. So I have been told.
