It's all change from this year. Because we lost storage and of the logistical nightmare of renting a van and carting it all around we are going a different route. There will be a tent but it's not the old manky white one but a nice shiney (abet smaller) new one so there will be some shelter. We won't be doing teas/coffee like before either but perhaps doughnuts and sandwiches (NOT confirmed so don't be disappointed) but the fun will still be there
We don't actually organise official convoys anymore as such as so many people turn up at the same time we end up causing a grid lock at the show however jatkinson may well do one this year
sometimes what we tend to do is just say the show opens at 9'oclock (I think perhaps someone can confirm?) and first to arrive gets the best spot. If you want to orginise one amongst yourselfs then you can use the convoy thread at the top of the events page - just head line it as "brooklands convoy 2017" and go from there

So why does it state in the Event about a convoy meet at Tesco when there isn't one?
You're sending people to Tesco to sit and wait there like idiots for no reason!
It's says "to be confirmed" so nobody's sending anyone anywhere yet. we haven't done one for a few years but there has been talk about having them again and you don't have to join one it's just a bit of fun you can just turn up at the gate so all I can say is just keep an eye on the thread to see what happens or, to save confusion just turn up at the gate when it opens to the public if you don't want to be hanging around in a car park
you can just drive in as normal..
then the "Guantanamo brigade" will stop you and ask where you were planning on parking..
( I know this - as my marea got stopped for "impersonating a VOLVO")
I believe the "muggles" car park is by Mercedes world or at least it was last year

Convoys are still welcome
it's just none of the guys setting the stand up will be able to meet up and guide people in but people can still meet up at their chosen place and convoy in by all means. At the top of the events page there's a section on convoy arrangements. So what people can do is put up a thread stating who would be interested in meeting up for a convoy and going from there .....for example the thread could say "anyone coming from Essex way we are meeting at south mims services at 7.30 who's in" or "anyone heading in from the M40 we are meeting up at Beaconsfield at 7.30"
Ill be there in the abarth again had dificulty getting up to the banking last year though the marshalls kept trying to re-direct me to the abarth area lol

...... Talk about people who love a position of power. Unfortunately we have to abide by there rules as if we got too out of hand we could all be banned next year I just wish they would be more respectful when appoching us instead of talking to us like we are yobs in a McDonalds cars park So on that note for those who do turn up PLEASE try and behave as it gives them ammunition to hound us as the day goes on.
