Chiltern Hills Rally - Bucks

Calendar: Events
LocationLocation: Aylesbury, Bucks
RegionRegion: South East
Attendees (3)Attendees (3): homeward, Palio+1
I will be organising a stand at this year's Chiltern Hills show, as I have done for several years.

This is a really good classic car show, and everyone is welcome to come along.

There is a new location this year, which hopefully will give more space (there were well over 1000 cars last year).

Last year's thread is at http://www.fiatforum.com/panda-class...-19th-may.html and event info at http://www.chilternhillsrally.org.uk/

The application form is attached. It's 5 but you get a very nice model car if you prebook!

Please make sure you use the application form with the Club name included, or write it in if you have a blank application form already sent to you by the organisers.

There is NO problem with newer cars getting in as part of the stand, but please let me know what you are planning to bring so that I can make sure it's not all new stuff. The category is "S" if yours is newer than 1986.

You're more than welcome to, but it's at a different location this year (the show that is! ) so I'd guess you will go M40 to Bicester, A41 to Aylesbury, then A413 (I think) up to the show? It also gives you more freedom to be lenient on your timings. I suspect you don't want the Uno but if you did it could be either here or with Bob who's in Aylesbury.

I'd forgotten that....

Best post it, then....

PS: Just looked at the attendees. Are we wearing the wrong deodorant...?

Ok will do.

I'm hoping some will book direct. We had a really good turnout last year, so will be disappointing if we only have a few.

I know of 5 booked so far (I've booked 4 of em!). Panda 1000CL, Punto ELX, 127 Palio, Panda 45CL, 124 Spyder. Quality not quantity, but both would be better!

I'll let you two duke it out. Probably best to post -- as I can either get there exceeding early, or exceeding late...!

Just a quick update particularly for @scout and @homeward

Another latecomer is planning to turn up on the day with a Croma (not many of those to the 1 now!). Vernon @VmanC would like to drive up in Panto, but hasn't thought of a good excuse yet.....

So we might have 6/7 if we can get the others across to the stand.

Brilliant idea! Thanks, Bob...!

I was just about to ask if we wanted to meet somewhere, to convoy in. Any thoughts about times...?

In the absence of anyone fitting that description.........

The show opens at 10am I believe, so we should probably aim to get there about 9.30?

Would aiming to leave Bob about 9.15am be too early (and I'm not accepting answers suggesting 7am from Bob!). So plan to get to Bob about 9am, and leaving whenever we've all assembled?

Washed the car... -- but relying on the fact that it was polished and waxed a few weeks ago: so not perfect; and it seems to have developed a rash of stone-chips and scrapes in-between times....

This is how it looked an hour or so ago. 'Twill have to do....

See you tomorrow, chaps...! Chocks away. Roger and out.

Looks fine - tally ho, what what!

I've sorted Jasper out as he was in a right state - though the washing and polishing wasn't great & nearly killed me with heatstroke.

I'm taking Horace2 the Palio too, but I'm afraid he looks fairly clean & will just have to do!!

I'm aiming for about 9am at @scout 's. I do have to wait for my second driver to arrive though (Mum), so if I'm later than that it isn't (necessarily) because I underwoke......
