20 members of the Events team and none want to get ff presents at trax? :(

Trust me I'ld love to get involved but I can't even organise myself every morning :( I'm not very good at things like this....... It's easy for some but I find things like this intimidating and wouldn't even know where or how to start :confused: hence why I have full respect and admiration for those in the team who do organise all these wonderful events that I've been to and carry them out faultlessly

Had completely forgotten about this -- until someone mentioned it, yesterday... -- as I'm away that weekend. Is it worth seeing if there's any interest, with a poll or something? The few people I mentioned it to, yesterday, seemed to think that Auto Italia and MITcar were enough.... :eek:

My only thought is that, with only 13 names listed above, and after several months (and ChrisUK has already said he's probably not going, now...), it may just be better just to organize a meet, rather than a stand, for those few interested.... Thoughts...? :rolleyes:
gadge: are you definitely going? If so, are you happy to coordinate things 'on the ground' on the day (as you did so wonderfully well with yesterday's convoy... -- hint, hint...), if I try and drum up people's enthusiasm/attendance, as part of a Midlands Italia meet...? :confused:
 
Yes mate I would :) I certainly don't mind that I just don't want to take it all on myself? How would we go about booking the spot ( I presume you need to book? :confused:) and what about the forum marquee? Who gonna bring that and what about food?

Oh and I don't think RuSZ is going either? So that makes 12 including me?

RuSZ: thoughts, please... -- and should we start a separate events/mods-only thread...? ben: is there any way we can have a banner, please, MITcar-stylee, at the top of each thread...? Finally: have we enough time to resurrect this...? :confused:
 
...i reckon the best you could do this year is all meet some where before in the morning and get parked in carpark together.

I tend to agree; and am more than happy to take on the role of organizing such a meet; with the gadgemeister (now that he has been chosen by the FF Sorting Hat...) coordinating on the day. I'm also concerned -- from experience of those meets I've both organized and attended... -- that only a certain percentage of those putting their names down actually turn up on the day.... :rolleyes:

How many do we need before a stand is sensible/economically viable...? Stu DemonD: care to comment, as the coordinating wizard...? :confused:
