This will be our Eighth event in the New Forest and to start the day we will meet for coffee at the Green Dragon, Brook, Hants. The aim is arrive at about 10.00am and then set off at about 10.30 for a scenic drive through the New Forest, led as always by Mark and Kirsty in the Team YellowLuigi Fiat 500 .
Weather permitting we aim to stop somewhere en route to take some photos before arriving at the Swan Inn, Lyndhurst, for a drink and a chat before lunch.
Lunch will be a choice of traditional Xmas fayre or for those who prefer it (RUI) there is always the à La Carte menu to choose from.
As soon as the menus have been worked out I'll get them emailed to me and I will post them in here and when you have made your choices you can PM me the details.

If you want to be certain of a reserved seat then please confirm your attendance (and any passengers) ASAP by Saturday 01/12/2012 as at this time of year it is crucial to book early to be certain of a table.
If you can't come for the whole event due to work or other social commitments you are welcome to be in at the beginning for coffee and a chat or catch up with us at the end (the good bit) for lunch.
Please don't forget to click the ADD ME tab at the top so that we have a confirmed number for making the lunch reservations!

Looking forward to see you all there and although I am expecting the majority of cars to be 500s I would like to say that, as with any FIATFORUM event, everyone, regardless of model, can be assured a warm welcome.
If there are any questions feel free to ask here or in the relevant threads in the main forums and I shall be updating this thread with any significant additional information on a regular basis.
ps. If temperature below 7 degrees Celsius then all cars on winter tyres will be relegated to the rear of the convoy due to their superior stopping power, lol.

UPDATE: Went to the Swan to reserve our table but the lady (Jenna) who I have dealt with on previously occasions is no longer there, so had to start afresh with the new manager.
There was an initial problem because that they were unable to accept our booking for 12.30pm and said that the only available slot was 3.00pm. Also, we would have to split the group over two tables.
After a little negotiation it was agreed that we could have our two tables pushed together in the bar area (nice open fire) if we could eat at 12.00pm.
I have agreed this in principle as I imagine that by 12.00pm we will be quite peckish, especially those of you who have had to set out earlier in the morning to rendezvous at 10.00am. Also, for people having to travel further it will mean being able to set off home whilst it is still light.
Unfortunately, this new manager requires a £10.00 deposit for each person which I didn't have to do previously and that means I can only confirm the number of seats for people definitely coming, which means I can't "overbook" to enable last minute arrivals a guaranteed seat.
If you are planning on coming then 07/12/2012 is the cut off date for a confirmed reservation. Anyone who "adds" themselves after that date will still be more than welcome but will have to take pot luck with their seating arrangements.
Below is the "Festive Menu" for those wishing to pre-book their meals (a la carte people can order on the day) and I will need you to let me know your choices ASAP (by Friday Evening 07/12/2012 at the latest) so that I can confirm them with the restaurant by 08/12/2012. I will pay the deposits for everyone who confirms their menu choice or states they will order on the day. Please be aware that if anyone fails to turn up then I will require them to refund me the deposit paid on their behalf.
Hope this is acceptable to everyone and look forward to seeing you all on the day.
p.s. Any problems/suggestions/queries just PM me and I'll get right back to you.
p.p.s. Just to let you all know that Mark has reported in that when you exit the M27 to take the road to Brook there are signs saying that the road is closed. He has checked this out and has confirmed that you can still get to the Green Dragon OK.
