Well the first New Forest meet took place on a lovely day in December 2008, so the 29th November will be not only our Christmas event, but our first birthday celebration too.

We are starting our day at the Green Dragon at Brook (that is the place marked on the event location map) at approx 10am and moving off for our tour of the forest (kindly organised by Mark and Kirsty aka Yellowluigi) at 10:30.

We will stop for a scenic photo shoot (of the cars!) and we will finish up at the Alice Lisle pub where we have a table booked provisionally for 12:30 for 15-20 people.

We regularly get over 10 cars and around 20-25 owners. Many of us have come to every meet and others just come when it suits them.

This is the first time we have visited the Alice Lisle, near Ringwood, but it comes highly recommended If you can't meet for the whole event, but would like to join us for lunch and a chat, you are very welcome.

It would be lovely to see an Arbarth, a byDiesel and a 500c amongst our numbers and we have yet to clap eyes on a Crossover Black, Cha Cha Blue, Silver (can't remember the proper name!), Punk Grey or New Orleans blue - infact it would be brilliant to try and get one of each colour this time round.

Please let us know if you can join us and post a quick note to tell us what colour your 500 is and don't forget to sign in at the top!

Mark, do you think that you can increase the number of attendees with the Alice Lisle as we are up to 19 already and notts & mrs notts haven't yet added themselves and I am still hoping to attend with my +1 but can't confirm until the weekend. Also, you never know if any last minute takers might turn up, so best to be safe.

It hasn't been too bad today after all, in fact I see a lovely red sky appearing so perhaps our bad weather is going????

I'm hoping for a bit of sun so that my FW sparkles ... last time with no sun and light rain it didn't show off the colour as well.

Yes, its a Skoda Fabia 2 Estate , its the 1.2 70hp version which I at first dismissed as I wanted the 1.4 16v. The salesman let me loose in a 1.4 then suggested I try the 1.2, which I did and boy its a superb engine. Only 3 cylinders but loads of torque and goes really well.
Got a good trade in on the smart, VAT off the Skoda and what I needed to borrow at 0% finance... a good deal

I might not be able to make this after all, I'm going to a party for a work colleague's wedding anniversary the night before so I don't want to risk driving while hung over and tired!

Unfortunately the lure of alcohol and meeting new people (and wonky eyed girls, right?) is far too much for me to want to swap the NFM for the party!
