General Pollen Filter

Sorry for delay in replying. The Pollen filter is located in the engine compartment just under the windscreen on the passenger side. The trim under the windscreen on the outside of the vehicle is divided into two pieces. Remove the half at passenger side, it is secured with philips screws in mine. The pollen filter is located under this trim which covers the air inlet for cabin air. The replacement filter can be bought at any motor factors. Hope this helps.

Hi ive an 06 fiat ducato motorhome and am trying to locate the pollen filter and cant locate it the route you said i cant seem to find how to get into it after removing the windscreen surround

any help greatly appiciated

Hello Free Spirit
I have a 2006 Fiat Ducato 2.8JTD (Model 244) and it is not fitted with a pollen filter. It would probably fit where the inlet is located under the lower windscreen trim on the passenger side. Probably not fitted to any Ducato destined for Australian market.
Regards
Dennis

Not fitted to most commercial vans theres just a big empty space where it would be.

My 2006 2.8JTD has a pollen/cabin air filter installed. In fact I changed the filter element last month, having bought one from http://brettstruck.com.au for AUD55.58 delivered:

! i think the motorfactors in oz are having a laugh with the price of import parts, thats 4 times the price of here...

Trouble is, your cheap filter is the wrong one for my vehicle. Mine is a LARGE cylindrical filter that sits in a can in the engine bay on the passenger side. Those flat filters are for some other arrangement and are indeed much cheaper.

Try pricing the one I used!

My van has one of these as well, as I suspect all similar models do.

However it's function is not to prevent pollen reaching the inhabitants of the van but to stop ambient bits in the intake air getting into the cylinders (not saying it doesn't catch pollen as well, however if you go in a motor factors and ask for a pollen filter when what you really want is an air filter they will have a laugh about it in the mess room afterwards:D)
