On my 1.9TD Ducato I have a rattling noise that stops when I press the clutch pedal in, my initial thoughts are the release bearing, but could it be anything more sinster?

Okay I'm pretty sure it's the release bearing so I'm going to have a go at fitting a new clutch kit. Although I've searched this and other forums I'm still struggling to find a workshop manual for my model Ducato, can anyone point me to one? There is a good guide on here for removing the transmission on an earlier model (series1) would it be safe to say that it's going to be similar? Any help is much appreciated. (y)

Just a couple of questions about removing my gearbox, how does the OS intermediate drive shaft come off? It looks like the bracket is part of the engine
When I took off the starter there were only two bolts in it, one of the threaded bolt holes was broken/missing and on the solenoid someone has cracked the plastic cover, so I think I need to replace it while I'm on but due to me not having an exchange unit I'm being quoted extortionate prices and trying to get a used one is proving impossible as non of the breaker's yards in my area have any Ducatos, can anyone tell me if there is another model that has the same starter motor fitted? The Scudo maybe? I'm still looking for a workshop manual if anyone can point me in the right direction.

The shaft bearing is retained by two bolts loosen the bolt and you can rotate their heads out of the way to remove the bearing.

I would just cover the cracked solenoid with all weather sealant like the bostik stuff.

Sorry I forgot to ask, what would be the correct grade of gear oil to put in the gearbox?
