Is it possible to remove the external cover which has the Fiat logo on it from the main airbag assembly?

I'd like to get it covered in leather to match the steering wheel but no one will touch them whilst the airbag canister is still fitted.

You know that tears very precisley and the airbag comes out through the middle of it? Cover it with leather and god knows what would happen. You could be getting a fiat logo through your skull at 320km/h.
