My Bessacarr motorhome is on a base unit Fiat Ducato 2.1 and today the indicators and Hazzard lights stopped working. Some weeks ago the fuel guage also became erratic (off or on, nothing between) How do I get my indicators to work again. It was suggested that I remove the key from ignition, wait 10 minutes for BSI unit to die then disconnect the battery and wait a firther 10 minutes then reconnect the battery. This would, in effect, rebbot the system. Did that, still the same. Any ideas.????

You didn't mention the age of your van; if it is pre-JTD it has a more basic wiring system not involving body computers. The indicators and other ignition controlled functions are fed via the ignition switch directly from a fused supply from the battery and problems are usually down to corroded connectors or faulty contacts in the ignition switch.

I to have the same problem no indicators or hazards, mine is ducato 2006 2.8 jtd
Would disconnect the battery help or cause more problems,
Check the wiring to the colume switches all ok,
But cannot fine the flasher unit or relay.
Spoke to fiat dealer but could not or would not help unless I took it to them,
Unfortunately with no indicators and being left hand drive it’s difficult to drive safely as people try to overtake you when you need to turn right, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
