Thanks Corcai,
Just come in from another attempt to find your post!
I'd gone out with what I'd thought were all the right comm somethings from Multiecuscan site but no joy. Tried various interface settings, still no good, then my 20min freebie timed out.
Time to make the purchase!
I'll have another go asap.
Windows knowledge increased so at least I've moved forward ;-)

When it times out you just restart it.

Hi,

Just back from a quick 2 nighters in the van up at Tyndrum. Rose this morning to frost!

Anyway, thanks for the comms port advice, this w/e will be make or break

I went for a registered Multiescan deal as I was getting to replies to my emails to their help desk. Forums are always better I find.

Another fruitless exercise today.

Gendan getting a phone call tomorrow!
The OBDlink SX interface has to be used on my van with their 'yellow' adapter cable & Multiecuscan software.
I tried your instructions re driver and all looks ok, I'm sure it's a comms settings issue.

At least my motorbike job was straightforward, gluing throttle grip back on!

Tomorrow is another day.

At last, I have a working set up.
Gendan advised comm port set up, correct step by step connection procedure, and viola, all worked.
Reset DPF alerts, had a couple of goes at setting up and all is well. Apart from one DPF alert coming back up. Not too bothered, local garage says Fiats are notorious for this. I now need to clarify how filter is supposed to work on my model.

Thanks to all the contributors who gave advice.

Jeez, have I really not posted re this issue since Oct?
Just shows what grandkids can do to your life style.
I have poked around trying to find DPF sensor, mirrors, camera, etc tried, but due to our awkward drive I've decided to get my trusted local garage to tackle it. I don't think it's possible without lifting vehicle.
The lack of support from Fiat Commercials and Motorhome specialists has been shocking. No help identifying sensor or engine type even after supplying data from vehicle.
This local garage has a mechanic specialised in DPF issues, so time to bight the bullet and stump up!
At least I know now the 2012 2.3 engine is a Fiat, not Iveco as some web sites have stated. And from my engine number the sensor is Bosch.
Ho effin hum!
Update next week hopefully.

Welcome to motorhome ownership! Sadly a common issue once they have your loot. I buy privately and sod 'em all!
