Hello everyone,
could anyone please advise me on the steering wheel on my motorhome 2.8idtd there is a wee bit of lift on it and i would like to know if there is a bearing or a bush in the column that may be the cause,i believe this lift may be caused by using the steering wheel to pull the driver into the cab,any advice woud be appreciated.

Unless the driver is the size of a rhino, pulling yourself into the cab should not cause any damage. But perhaps some bolts on top of the steering wheel need tightening.

the previous owner was built like a brick sh--h--se my problem is lift on the steering wheel and as there is only one nut holding the steering wheel on the shaft and it was very tight i discovered the play on the bearing the shaft has lift at the roller bearing centre, can anyone advise on how to remove the bearing, and where to buy one, thanks.

My X2/50 van got an MOT advisory for worn steering column bearing.
But when I looked it was just the steering column height adjustment lever that wasn't tight.
Can't blame the tester for not noticing the steering column height adjustment lever as I had been driving the van 4 years and not noticed it either
