On a recent trip in my 1989 1971 cc motorhome I noticed a Wire about 1 Metre long with a small 3 pronged plug on the end trailing from the bottom of the engine. I can't seem to find where it plugs in or what it is. I also noticed that the engine was a bit juddery and wondered if this disconnected cable was related to the problem. Can any one help please.

Hello again
On further inspection the cable is also "plugged" into the bottom of the engine at the sump covered by a rubber cowl and the plug at the trailing end is the shape style and approximate size of the one you find on an electric kettle.??

Its a sump heater for winter, you'll probably never use it unless you're going to scadanavia , eastern europe etc. in winter or possibly skiing.

Thanks for the response Corcai would you advise that I just unplug it from the sump end then? As I cannot see where it was plugged in at th eb other end any way.
