Hi

1st post and i need help, my van cut out today at a junction and the dash display shows fuel cut out switch, hazards on and doors wont lock. I see that i can reset the switch but i cannot find it even after using the manual. It says it should be near passenger footwell but thats where the heater fan is housed. Any help much appreciated as the battery is now flat with the lights staying on and the van is stuck in town.

thanks in advance

If you are sat in passenger ,with your legs stretched out , its by the little toe of your left foot . so on side of foot well not dead ahead of seat.
It is a push button with a rubber cover over top. Push vertically down .
You may have to put finger in a hole in plastic trim to press button.

If you don't find it on passenger side try driver side even if handbook says passenger side.

If mini bus there is another inertia switch on the battery +ve terminal

Hi

After we managed to recharge the battery which was completely flat due to the hazards staying on when the fuel switch cut off we found the switch exactly where u said, thanks so much for your help. Absolutely spot on mate

Thanks for posting update of your fix and for your thanks of course.

Were you rocking out and stamping feet immediately before problem? This Could have tripped the inertia switch.

Hi

Sorry for the delay, i took the van to my mechanic last monday and the problem was the nearside spring had snapped this had triggered the fuel switch. New one fitted and van running ok. Although engine management light on due to exhaust valve problem which is recurring. Thinking of blanking them off

hi does anyone know how to fix or buy a switch for my fiat scudo 2005 van.its the recirculation switch and AC switch i think they are one switch as they are both together but im probably wrong when i press any one of them on it just goes off straight away the ac light comes on then straight off.also no one seems to know were i wire an aftermarket rev counter to my van i've had one in every van for years but not this one and i miss it as im deaf so i don't know if im over revving the engine if you know what i mean
