Okay I have just returned to my motorcaravan an after three months to find that the solar panels have both kept not only the leisure batteries topped up but also the new starter battery!

Good so far. But upon a few days later I gave the air con a run through to get the juices flowing again and for about ten minutes every thing went well. Then... On the second or third cycle of the call for the cooling fans to come on I noticed that the fans did not start whirling like the last cycle. Instead everything Electric pulled down, the radio went low, the ventilation fan dropped from level 4 to 1, lights went dim to almost off and wipers almost stopped mid screen.

So I quickly ticked the A/C button to off, 3 second response tops. Knowing something's up I didn't try the A/C again until the next day. Same result. Thought to check the relays the next day but this day it was hot in Germany and I was in a traffic jam. Yes, the fans tried to cool off the radiator.

The next day I saw the red battery idiot lamp alight. Now nothing indicates that there is any charging either to the leisure batteries or the start battery.

Did a BIG fuse blow? Where is that fuse if so. I will check the fan relays first to see if they have welded closed but that doesn't answer the non charging condition of the batteries.

There must be a big fuse blown somewhere? Where?
