Dear Forum,
I've checked the existing posts for this subject but (as I'm a newbie) have only found info on modern JTD's and the like.
My 2.8 i.d.TD Ducato was built in the last century and needs its fuel filter replaced so if anyone has any tips or can give me instructions in words of one syllable or less, I would very much appreciate it. Also, any advice please on the bleeding procedure following replacement.
Hopefully, I have attached a couple of (not very good as it's difficult to get at) photos. No - that didn't work as I am only allowed to post URLs once I have at least 5 posts. Oh well!
Thank you in anticipation.

well mine is the same, son just replaced filter, and it self bled, just wound it over for a w hill and off it went.

Is it behind the Air Filter on the nearside? If so Its much easier to remove this first. I know you've read the existing posts on here about younger vans, but the principle should be the same. Before you try to start the van after you've put the new filter on, just turn the ignition on for 15-20 seconds a few times to allow diesel to flood into the canister BEFORE starting the engine. Looking up your part it would appear that there is a heating element in it.
