Hello,

F37 blows if I try to replace it. This has the effect that the headlights, indicators, dashboard, and side lights do not work.

Logic tells me that one 10A fuse can not drive all those items so I am guessing there must be a relay involved and possibly a short.

I have downloaded the manual but am having trouble findinding where to go from here.

Can anyone help?

Thank you :)

F37 supplies the cluster and the lighting control unit H009 which is located behind the hazard buttons. Lighting relays are grounded via the H009 unit so no power, no lights.

If you replace the fuse and it blows again then disconnect the oil vapour heater on the engine, thats a lightly culprit.

Brilliant information. Thank you.

I'm going to go over this at the weekend so will update then.

Cheers :)

You guys are awesome! :)

I will try ASAP. Home in the light tomorrow so at least have a chance ;)

I hope it's the fault. The only thing different with mine is that it has taken all the lights with it. Worth a go though!

Thank you all very much.

@slowpace Thats the cleanest van engine bay I've ever seen is it an A class or something?

its not mine oh you might have the engine light still on but dont worry
if i rember right star it turn of wait then try again
it happen to me done above and it was ok

Well I turned on and in typical intermittent fault fashion, the fuse did not blow.

Nevertheless, I have disconnected the oil vapour heater. No errors show up. I guess time will tell if it happens again but I'm going to spend some time at the weekend taking the dash apart to check for rubbing wires.

Thanks once again everyone.

David

Is this pic taken looking down from the top or looking up from underneath? I have read on here that UK models do not use it, but if it has a supply to it and can blow F37, then is must be used? Hmmmm.

hi i have this and do not use it iv un clip it and tape it up
and yes from the top pipe is just to the r

Hi Guys,
Sorry to hop on board this thread, but i have a similar problem with my Ducato 2.8jtd. The only difference is main beam and dipped beam are the only things affected. Have checked the obvious 5amp fuses and all seem fine but i have had a 20amp fuse that i have found blown. Have changed the 20amp but still no lights!! It now thinks that i am trying to steal it and the alarm has triggered!!

Any help would be appreciated as always from the Members,

Kind Regards,
Ricky

The hazard warning lights, Air Con and fog on the front panel are also dead!!!!

Any help appreciated!!

Regards,
Ricky

Hi,, the F37 is a pretty common thing in the ducato forum,,, search on here and see. IIRC there were no easily apparent solutions tho' and some perplexing things like 'disconnect oilvapour pipe heater'. This is allegedly not used on Uk models, but, it has a supply to it via F37 so it must serve its purpose. There is a user on here with just the symptoms you have, it will show if you search. I personally think relay/earth bad connection. I can't suggest where. Did this start after a bateery change, as my problems did?

Corcai,

Just a thought. when the fuse was constantly blowing, if the lights were off it did not blow. As soon as I turned on the lights it blew.

Currently it won't blow with lights on or off including with or without the oil heater.

I'm only mentioning this as my issue seems different in that way to the others.

I've had the fusebox apart and looked for rubbed wires but have not been able to find any so far.

Thanks,

David
