Hi can anybody tell me the correct size Allen key or hex key I will need to undo the sump plug on my 2.3 2013 Ducato, I have a lot of Allen keys but nothing like big enough to fit.

If you're stuck for a 12mm Allen key use a decent grade bolt with 12mm head, you can either weld onto it or heat and bend it 90o for a crude sump plug key

Or lock two bolts together on the other end and spanner the inside one

Way to go. I have been following this thread closely waiting to find out if anyone was able to find a 12mm bolt.
I have a collection of bolts that my friends envy and I would be very surprised if even I could find a 12mm bolt.
Good on you Pedantic Geoff. I am also somewhat pedantic when it comes to offering ideas or advice.

I have a few in my odds bin, I seem to remember they were on some Japanese products. 15/32 bolt head in "Old money" will do as well! We seem to be getting more odd sizes in the last few years as well, a few years ago most jobs were 8,10,13, 17, 19 etc, now I've noticed 15, 16, 18 creeping in.
