hi guys

I am after some advice

I have got a 07 2.2 lwb ducato

and it hunts on idle when cold as soon as it warms up no problems

I have had a new egr,new maf,new clutch and dmf

and keeps coming up with fault code p0603 kam error

and every now and then the fuel and engine temp gauges go to max the to bottom then everything normal again any help would be great thank you 150000 on the clock

Check the battery is charged and in good condition also check the battery terminals have a good clean connection. Check the earth strap from battery to frame and from frame to engine as these cause many issues.

If this fails you need to look at a possible ECM fault or cable short. It could be water ingress over the ECM and cables.

Mike.

thanks mike
will check tomorrow
I'm new to the van have found the earth strap from gearbox to frame
where should I look for other earth straps and where is the ecm to check for water ingress

Andy. The two earth straps to check are the one from engine/gearbox to frame (as you have found) then the one from the battery, this is under the floor in the passenger footwell.

The ECM/ECU, sometimes called Engine Control Module or Engine Control Unit, is on the right hand side of the engine bay behind the fusebox with a thick bunch of cables leading to two connectors on the top of it.

Water ingress is a major problem for this model and you should search on here to see how some members have tried to fix the issue.

mike. that's great thanks very much for your help
today I checked the battery earth seems ok but the engine/gearbox earth is quite corroded so will change that one
now I know where the ecu is will check that for water damage
