I've connected PIN 7 White/Yellow from the diagnostic port to PIN C04 White/Yellow on the multipoint connector.
Still get the error code.
Can anyone shed some light on the problem?
Thanks for the reply.
Yes, the ignition is on.
I used the diagnostic on the wife's Punto and it connected to the ecu through AlfaOBD. I'll download Torque just to be sure.
Thanks for the PIN9 explanation. I don't have any of those fitted.
As i only have the engine management loom fitted, naively perhaps, i thought that PIN7 might be enough on it's own. But maybe not.
Success!
If i connect only PIN7 and use the Torque Android app, i get a connection to the ECU.
The bonus is the Torque real time display provides the missing dash info.
Thanks for all your help, once again.
Torque doesn't give the correct values you'll get Max or min reading for everything except rpm which comes out a third. But at least you know it works now.
