Well I may not be Victor Meldrew but I still don't believe it.
I turned at the traffic lights yesterday at a busy junction, I was stuck across the street as someone was trying to park.
There was an almighty bang and no clutch, who but Fiat would make a clutch pedal out of plastic:mad:

It's now going to cost £132.00 for a new pedal from Fiat, (how can they justify that price?) plus £60 for fitting!:mad::mad:
All the scrap yards in a 30mile radius only list from 2002.
Just who was the idiot who decided to make a commercial pedal out of plastic?
The only reason I didn't buy a transit was because they are rust buckets, at least I would be able to weld a transit.

Hi, I think it's where the cable connects to the pedal, the top of the pedal felt as if it had a bit missing.

Lots of cars have plastic clutch pedals. This is why you might want a plastic pedal:

Saw a week old ducato when was on my cpc course that was worse than that , it hit a council truck with a snow plough plate on the front don't think a plastic clutch pedal made much difference to that one :(

Hi thanks for the heads up, mine is a 1996 so those won't fit.
This is now on back order from Poland, looking at about 2 weeks before I'm back on the road.
Gerry

Sory assumed it was the newer one they are more prone to breaking. The older pedals are on ebay from poland for about £18.

Hi, you mean the new one break too?
I had a look on ebay but couldn't find any, £18.00, now that makes me feel sick LOL

Hi folks, this is just a follow up, garage ordered a new pedal in the end, but they sent a left hand drive one.
The next thing they said that they can't get rhd ones, they did suggest that I bought the whole box for all the pedals at £500 LOL
The garage repaired it, it's lasted so far.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
