The tapered spline shaft which the wiper arm bolts onto has excessive movement which allows the wiper arm to scrape bottom of windscreen . Apply pressure to spigot and it moves back by 1-1.5 mm. DO i need to replace all the wiper linkage or is there a cheaper option??

Also read somewhere that you should use a certain type of grease ..any ideas on which type?
