Hi Guys


I'm getting a plume of white smoke from the exhaust on initial start up which clears after approx. 5 to 10 seconds, the white smoke smells of unburnt diesel


I have plugged in multiECUscan and checked the injection correction figures for all four cylinders and cylinder one is very much different from the other three


Number one was around 1.00 the other three were in the negative around -0.040 mark, after increasing the revs to 1500 rpm the level dropped on cylinder one to 0.7 then went back to 1 at idle the other three stayed more or less the same


Does this mean the injector is knackered?

Engine management light on at the moment which is error P0235 - Boost pressure sensor so new MAP sensor ordered on Monday


It's a 2007 Fiat Ducato 2.3 Self converted camper which has been parked up over the winter, Running OK only smokes on initial start up then clears after 5 seconds


Thought it was just cause it had been stood for five months but been away for Easter and done 250 miles and its still doing it

Just replaced MAP sensor so EML light has now been cleared, I have taken a graph of the injector correction codes (see attached image)


Graph taken on tick over then increased the revs a couple of times to 1500 to 2000rpm. Injectors 2,3 &4 all stayed in the negative yet Injector 1 was always in the positive


Can anyone tell me if this is normal or is this the cause of the white smoke on initial start up? Thanks in advance

MAP sensor change not enough, after a few hundred km it will light up again. Remove and clean the whole intake nanifold.
