Hi all. Has anybody removed the sliding door stainless steel guide channel located on the outside of the body . I need to remove this to seal the guide to the body to stop water ingress .The van is a 2013 Globecar panel van conversion , the sliding door is on offside . Any advice would be useful .
Thanks Colin

Removed it on an '08 panel van so it should be the same.
Remove the plastic bit at the end and remove about 6 nuts on the inside of the van.
If these are buried by the conversion as mine now are(error in construction) I dont know how you will get it off..If you look closely at the strip on the outside you can see where the bolts are located on the strip(small flat spots staggered along the strip)

Thanks dfk yes mine are buried and I can see the bolts . This should be fun .Going back to the dealer next to discuss our next option , it would seem to me the convertors should have made sure this was water tight before the conversion started .

Just an up date on water ingress on globecar camper . The sliding door guide had to be removed from side of van , after the insides were stripped out . The guide is held in place by several nuts . The git who is supposed to put sealer on the guide prior to fitment could not have stood close enough at the time of application . So it leaked . The repair was carried out by Dethleffs in Isny Germany and a very neat job as well . Plus they paid our expense's to get to them as well . A big thankyou also goes to Go Europeans Dave Grimley the dealer who I purchased the Globecar from . The very best of service from him and his lads .
