Hi
I've just bought an 86 ducato motorhome , the wiring is a shambols!
Coming home today I lost wipers, heater, indicators & guages. It also refused to idle!
I'm getting through it but bodge-it-and-scarper have been there before me!

If anyone can direct me to a diagram I'd be very greatful! I have a 1991 one but I'm sure mines different!!

tell us what chassis, engine etc..,

sounded like a bad earht until you mention the bodges..

Hi O'Neil, yes that was me! The photos were of my old diesel camper.

I found the fault in the end, it was the bus bar across the top of the fuse box breaking down! I've looper it out with short jumper wires & its all much better, heater fan blows full speed , wipers likewise!
Next job is to work out how/why someone has wired the head lights & dim/dip to a domestic light switch!!
Now I understand the wiring better I think the 1990 /1991 diagram is very similar to my 1986 vehicle, thanks for the offer Charlie

Hi O'Neill,
you might be my savour for a wiring diagram for a 94 Ducato 2.5 td diesel, I'm hitting wall after wall on the net and on this forum in trying to find one or even get info on where I can find (if such exists) the fuse for the fuel pump or the ignition. Bet you have guessed what I'm up to!!

Help from any quarter would be much appreciated.

what I was after was a means of disabling my MH against theft by installing a 'kill' switch. I just got it sorted yesterday by the long route of trial and error. I removed the plastic cover around the steering column and pulled out the 2 electrical plugs on the ignition. One by one I slipped out the spade connectors with attached wires and refitted the plugs. With each spade removed I tried to start the engine until eventually the starter failed; this was my laborious way of finding the wire to the starter solenoid. I then cut this wire and soldered on an extension to which I fitted a very simple push-button toggle switch. I attached this switch to a piece of the dash where it is well concealed. So one little press when I'm leaving the wagon and it's disabled. I'm hopeful it'll frustrate a thief looking for a quick take-off.
Hope this might be of help to others because I can't imagine anything more sickening than returning to find your wagon gone; I've heard of it happening here in Ireland and the MH was never found!
