Had the mot done this week, new rear brakes and horn fitted.

Started the van yesterday and a burning smell came from it.

Had to be recovered home as the alternator has gone. Gutted :(

Van back at the garage now

i know the feeling had the a/c checked in Perth last week told all was well headed back to the east coast the next day (a Saturday on a long weekend) got to the top of the hill just outside Perth and no cold air drove the remaining 4200kms without air conditioning (god i love summer in Australia) found the condenser holed and the compressor clutch on its last legs replaced them both then found oil running out of the intercooler hoses you got it the turbo decided it had enough .They say bad things come in threes so i should be right for a while hopefully.
I also replaced the clutch this January as well keep breaking the springs in the clutch plate for some reason got 37500kms out of the first one and only 135000 out of the second ill work it out but the grass is still the right way up Cheers Adam

For a minute I thought it was Perth Scotland, lol. Then I thought A/C on with 4 degrees. Mad person. Ha ha

So frustrating, when you pay out and pay out

believe it or not even with the problems Ive had its still one of the more reliable vehicles Ive ever owned 530000kms in 3 years just seemed to take forever to work out the parts system and the lifespan of parts ie. engine fans are good for 200000kms then replace tie rod ends 220000kms balljoints 300000kms works for me cheers Adam

That bloody incredible considering the roads you drive on and the dust and grit!
