Hi All :)

My dogs chewed my steering wheel, I have another (second hand just in case they get peckish again) but do not know where to start in removing the old one.

I take it I have to disconnect the battery to deactivate the airbag first, but don’t want to start tugging at stuff unnecessarily!

Any tips, please, guys?

Thats what I would like to know, the workshop manual I have is no help at all as it begins with the horn button cover already removed.
I had a windscreen leak which dripped on to the steering wheel, shorted out the horn button, and set off the horn. I fixed the leak, it must have dried out enough for the horn to work normally now, but now the airbag warning won't go out (apparently an MOT fail) so I suspect that may be caused by water / corroded connection there as well.
I notice there are 2 holes on the underside of the steering wheel. I can only guess you have to push a tool in there and do something to release the horn button cover to get inside. I am hoping for a reply to this thread for further information.
