I have just had problems with my engine, a bolt has broken holding the adjuster bracket on my timing belt, being an Iveco Engine it just damaged the ,valves, followers and guides,so im told.
The belt and kit were replaced in July 2012, of course the Garage denies any responsibility .would welcome any views or suggestions.
Thankyou in anticipation
Ray::confused:.

the problem is this kind of a 2.8 often densely strips break, you just screw wymniana is provided at 60k. km or once a year, just what is it you call the appraiser and the matter in court if you have an invoice for the purchase and replacement bar in the workshop

I suspect tygrys is writing his replies in his native Polish and then putting them through a rather poor translation app.

so I use google translator, attempts by other
in engines 2.8 belts often tear their producer predicted them on 60 tys km both in Iveco as well as in ducato, but I never heard that a screw broke.. if you have invoices for the purchase of the part, and a replacement of the timing gear. You can hire the expert and take a case to court
I apologise for spellings
I hope that it is now more intelligibly

Thankyou Tygras,
the information you have given seems to confirm what others are saying, nobody i have spoken to seems to e of the same opinion, will now put it to a legal source and see where it leads.
thanks again.

hi,
we've had a belt fail after 366 days,
fortunately on a FIRE engine, so no internal damage,
BUT things can + do fail,
if it were after a few months then maybe you'd have a case,
but in my mind over a year is just bad luck,

legal action MAY result in a cost reimbursement,
just don't spend too much fighting for it,

Charlie

Thats much better which translator is that?

Tensioner bolt is the last one I'd expect to break, like tyrys says you could get an expert to look at it they may be able to tell if its been overtorqued or if its a manufacturing defect.

Thanks Moodrater,
i agree with you that expert analysis is the way to go.
