Hi all, sorry to ask for help so early in my career!
I bought and fitted new shockers, then realised that the problem was the bearing on the top. Bought new top mountings and bearings and was happily :)rolleyes:) fitting everything when I found that the old top mount, bearing and top spring holder plate were welded together by rust. So what I need now are top spring holders/plates. Trouble is, nobody seems to have them. Can any kind soul point me in the right direction so I can get the van off the jacks?

I had this problem with my ducato (2.2 2008), all I did was to split the spring holder and plate, clean them up and add a little grease to help prevent it rusting up again, not had a problem since, and its passed its MOT like that as well.

You may have to use a hammer and drift to split them.

Thanks for reply, but the rust has eaten away about 2/3 of the thickness where it supports the bearing...

I hate to say it, but the dealer's might be the only way to go, maybe something on ebay.
