I have a Birdsville Elite Motorhome, late 2011, with a Ducato 180 engine.
The front suspension is now giving cause for serious consideration to change the front to the 'Kings springs' as per recommendations from other Ducato owners.
Before doing so I am wondering about installing air suspension and would welcome any comments, both for and against.
Your thoughts please. Colin

Hi jct
Have not heard of any airbag kits to suit the front of the X250 Ducato, the only ones I have seen are for the rear suspension. There is the option in europe for factory fitted rear airbags but have not seen any of these so equipped vehicles shipped or available in Australia, probably not cost effective to import them out here. So I guess the uprated front springs is the only option unless someone else knows otherwise.
Cheers

Thanks for your views 'Free Spirit'

My thoughts about the air suspension were because the top of the rear wheel arches are showing some signs of being marked by the tyres.
I assume the rear has also 'bottomed out' a couple of times.

I should have mentioned this at the outset, my apologies for my omission.

Thanks again. Colin

on my travels ive seen airbags on the rear of many fiat based motor homes and most owners swear by them as for the king springs they should have been standard fitment i replaced mine early on around 10000kms and they have transformed the handling part number for them is KFFR-37 and Repco can get them in for you about 2.5 hours to fit maximum cheers Adam
