I have changed the engine oil in my 3.0 litre 160 bhp Ducato with the recommended 7ltr of oil.
I note that the oil stick barely recognises the oil level and the electronic dash display shows only 3 of the 5 oil fill levels?

I just found the same. I ended to add 8 litres of oil and got the dip stick wetted approx half way and display shows only 2/5 dots.

What would experts recommend? Would you stick to this oil quantity or would you go for the 5/5 display dots?

Maybe its to allow for dilution by post injection for dpf. Ch ck what the iveco spec is on castrol etc.

I believe the comfortmatic 3.0 litre takes 9 litres whilst the manual takes 7
