hello there all im new to this, can any one help me ?
i changed my battery and ever since my waterheater will not work.
i have checked all the fuses.

Hi,

Is your waterheater an underseat Carver gas-powered unit with automatic ignition i.e. a separate switch inside the van?

If so these were fragile at best and I would guess that the extra voltage from charging/changing the battery may have tipped it over the edge! Not sure whether the switch or the PCB in the unit will have failed, you will have to try substitution (but check connections and soldering on the PCB first)

HI Crossing keeper
the water heater is in the wordrobe behind the gas fire.
i put in a new leisure battery and ever since then its not worked.

Probably not a Carver unit then but a Truma. I haven't had any dealings with these (mine hasn't ever gone wrong, yet!)

It may be worth you asking the question on motorhomefacts; there is a wealth of experience on there and Truma problems frequently come up.
