hi all new to this site and to owning a ducato, right here goes ducato 2.3 diesel, engine light light onsent it to garage they said egr fault so they replaced the egr and i still have one of the problems remaining after it came back.
although it drives a bit better then it did but on start up and when driving the egr solenoid is pulsing the egr valve resulting in the van being under powered and surging when i exellerate
no smoke has been noticed and apart from the lower power and surging the van sounds well
i have disconected the wire going to the solinoid and the van is runing at full power with no problems apart from the eml still on, will this affect the engine in any way,
o and i have swapped the solenoid for one off a good running van and it does the same
