Off Topic brake fluid change bleeding sequence

I use an old weed sprayer with a Tyre valve in it as a pressure bleeder its a great job takes a very long time for the old crap to clear the back nipples.

When my flexi pipe burst (n)

i used the Gunsoons Ezi bleeder - made bleeding the brakes 10x easier
with the whole car setup - all nipples ready to go it was
Spanner - pipe - Crack - Bleed bleed - bubble - bleed - Shut off
About 2mins ish per pipe

I knew at that point that
A - the air was pushed out as clean fluid was shown
B - it was 10x easier and 100% worth it for full satification my brakes were spot on

Downside
you need alot of fluid
Often leaves the tank over full - a turkey baster for this is great - suck a little back out - cap on :)

Ziggy

I use the turkey baster too, raises a few eyebrows when people see it lol.

I use both methods with equal success. Easybleed is good for big jobs, like changing the fluid, (until it blows off, or runs out, I've had both)
Pumping the brake if I've just changed a caliper and don't want the mess.

I have read of damage being caused by someone connecting up an easybleed, cracking open the bleed nipple, then pumping the brake as well while the system is under pressure.
I don't intend to try that myself, so I can't vouch for it.

Give that standing on the brake will generate couple of thousand psi in the system and the abs unit generates somewhere around 3000psi the only thing that I can see happen is the master cylinder seal flipping if you pressed the pedal with the pressure bleed kit on or the reservoir being pushed out of its seat or cracking. And to be honest with a pressure of a couple of tens of psi thats unlikely.

Nobody mentioned gravity bleeding,in my experiance & if you have the time the fluid can be gravity bled as many wheels at a time as you can handle, this is a slow easily managed approach make sure the pedal is fully released, keep topping up the fluid, fit bleed pipes to nipples & close off when running through clean.
You do not press the pedal & master cyl seals through long travel & risk damage, the whole process is slow & easily managed & has worked well in my
workshops for 40 years.

Its grand when you're just changing cylinder or something and you use hose clamps but to change all the fluid I'd go insane.
