my 2007 Ducato Van has the red 'door open' light on the dash sometimes, when it does the central locking won't lock. I am pretty sure it's the rear doors but were is the plunge switch or sensor for the rear doors?

Not sure if this will be of any help.

i had same issue a few years back, the contact for the side loading door was worn out, purchased both parts, easy DIY job, all worked fine after,

Hi - had a look on YouTube, and found that rather than replacing the sliding door sensor, it's a one minute job to pop the sensor off (by flipping out with a screwdriver), and then lever the very thin metal that holds the sensor, out a little. Worked a treat.

If you are sure its the rear door, then make adjustments to the latch and stops on the van body to allow the door ( usually the RH door) to fully close. The sensor is in the lock mechanism.

It will probably be side door & fix contacts as above. Try pushing the door into van at contact point while locking with remote. My rear doors do not affect the central locking.
