My Ducato 2.3 Maxi 2009 model motorhome. The front nearside indicator light comes on permanently when parked. It seems to come on after the interior lights go out. It is the same when locked or unlocked. If I open either of front doors the light goes out. After closing door it takes maybe 30 seconds before light comes on again. If I lock doors with remote it goes out again then after 30 seconds or so comes on again. The indicator lights function normally when vehicle in use.
If I drive any distance say 60 miles then the fault doesn't occur straight away. It can take a few hours before it kicks in again. I have had the alarm checked and all is well so this not causing it. When parked up I have to remove the bulb to avoid vehicle battery going flat.
Anybody else had this problem, any idea of cause and solution. Thanks

Bizarre for sure but I would probably start by looking at the relays on the alarm, interior lights and indicator. Faulty relays can do all sorts of weird and wonderful things and are easily damaged by water of which we've had a shed load of lately. May be another member has had a similar fault and knows exactly whats causing it but i'd start there. Quick and easy to change to test.

Thanks very much for your advice. I suspected the alarm as it wasn't working when the fault was present but since the alarm people checked it it is now working when fault is present! Trouble is after driving to the alarm people when they checked it the fault is not present as after driving any distance it can take 3 to 5 hours for the fault to reappear. Anyway they checked the alarm and confirmed everything ok. My next move was to go to the Fiat dealer but he says to find and fix fault could be 1 hour or 5 hours or more at £56 an hour!!! My extended warranty is still in place but wiring and wiring looms are excluded so if this or alarm after all I will have to foot the bill. If it is a relay or main electric control unit on the vehicle it should be covered. But reluctant to go dealer route due to high cost risk but insurance company want a fault code to consider claim. Think I will try a local auto electrician so he can see it with the fault active.
